STEVE MURPHY is the founder of SDM Preparedness Consulting. Steve's background includes several years of military service, 14 years providing prehospital care across several jurisdictions and seven years working for the province of Ontario in the Provincial Emergency Operations Centre as an Operations and Analysis Officer.
Prior to leaving the province Steve was a Training Development Officer tasked with developing emergency management training programs for provincial and municipal emergency managers. Not only does Steve develop custom training programs, he is also a dynamic trainer who inspires a hunger to learn and who has the ability to encourage knowledge and confidence.
Since 2010 Steve has been developing a municipal emergency management portfolio that includes nine separate municipalities consisting of urban and rural communities.
JULI GRIFFIN is the administrative engine that drives our company forward. When not handling issues in and around the office Juli’s background in social services also makes her one of our in-house experts on Emergency Social Services functions.
Prior to pursuing her career in social services Juli was a professional coach training athletes of all ages in the importance of practice, perseverance and professionalism while refining their confidence, positive energy and the desire to succeed.

The SDM Preparedness Consulting Incorporated logo was designed to show the strength of interconnectedness using a structured incident management system to prepare for and respond to any crisis. The four distinct colours are taken directly from the Operations, Planning, Logisitcs and Finance/Administration sectors of the Incident Management System and are held together by a green border which represents the Command role.
